I miss my blog. I miss pretending that lots and lots of people read it. I miss writing things that I think are witty and laughing to myself about them all day long.
What I don’t miss: work. You know why? Because I have been here every freaking day, dealing with spreadsheets and salaries and Excel formulas and offer letters and benefits packages and contract averages and B2B vs. Pharma experience and I haven’t slept well because I’ve been dreaming about new hires and I haven’t had a proper lunch in about 3 weeks.
Which, you know, is not meant to be whiney and stuff. I mean, I have a good job, and I’m getting paid lots of money.
I just, you know, miss blogging. And sleeping. And eating real food.
Money is good but you know family is #1. Glad you back home safe and bloggerificing again. Did you write at all in your down time?
Traveling for work is such a hassle, I mean, we have to do it sometimes to do our job, but it sure looses it’s shine after a while especially since 9-11 and all the extra airport security.
I am fortunate that my work cooperates a lot with me being a single father with the kids and doesn’t force me to travel as much as I used to have to. It’s great to see the world, but once you/ve been around the block a couple times, it’s not that exciting.
Take care, have a good holiday weekend!
