I’m throwing in the towel.

I feel kind of like a loser, really. But I’m exhausted. Work has overwhelmed me (two days out of the office and I’m ready to cry; imagine what will happen when I take a week in June and again in July). I have papers to finish by Saturday for school, a yard that needs weeding, a treadmill that needs exercising. I haven’t written since Saturday, and I’m damn sure I’m not going to be able to catch up at this point.

I gave up on the photos each day, too, but I will probably keep the tumblr I started for posting photos throughout the year. Maybe not. I’m not sure yet.

I do have a poetry-related post brewing in my head; not sure how or when it will come to fruition.

I hope y’all are having a good NaPoMo, and if you’re doing the poem-a-day, I wish you more luck than I’ve had.

  1. Not a loser – another way to look at it is that you just produced fewer, higher quality drafts than most people doing a poem every day. 🙂

And you are writing regularly at Borders -the whole point of NaPoWriMo, in my opinion, is to show that you can make time in your life to write every day.
